Synopsis

Create a food sampling extravaganza where people will sample various ethnic dishes prepared by local restaurants and caterers. Dishes will be cuisine specialties from around the world! All money raised will go to support your group’s spay and neuter funds, hopefully to match at least 80 spays. This event can be held at a local hotel ballroom, your community civic center, or another larger establishment, with the room fees hopefully donated.

Passport Program
Ask food presenters to notify you 2 weeks in advance their menu item(s) so that you can create a program for the evening resembling a passport. Leave room for notes after each country/ food item so people can jot down notes. Allow restaurants and caterers to have brochures and menus on hand to pass out. Their business info will be included in the program as well.

Foods
Get as much donated by local eateries and caterers as possible! Try to find obscure foods and familiar favorites: Italian, Mexican, Indian, Thai, Chinese, Greek, Japanese (including sushi if possible), French, Traditional Southern foods, Brazilian BBQ, Mongolian BBQ, Spanish paella, and Morrocan couscous.

Drinks
Try to have a cash bar provided by a caterer and services through them or a local bartender. Find bottled beers from several countries, including Sapporo (Japan), Guinness, Heineken (Neth), Dos Equis (Mexico), Foster’s (Aus), Hoegaarden (Belgium), Beck’s or Paulaner (Germany, Franziskaner, or any dunkel, hefe or Oktoberfest). Tsingtao (China), Moosehead (Canada), Grolsch (Holland), Singha (Thai), Peroni (Italy). Might need to have a few bottles and just give out small samples of them.

Music
Provided by high school jazz band, donated DJ, or just various CDs mixed together (typical music from India, France, Greek Islands, Morroco, Italian).

Dress
Suggest snappy casual attire, business casual, or make it a more formal cocktail style.

Piggyback Potentials
Other add-on fundraisers include hosting a cash bar with an extra $.50 added on per drink to be donated to your group. Create a special commemorative glass for those who buy the drink special.
Arrange a silent auction, with one or two items for live auction, and a few door prizes. Set up a G*Litter box poop n scoop (digging for small prizes in large box of packing peanuts). Invite a Caricature artist to work for a donation or a pre-set fee.
Diamond Champagne glasses for sale at $50 each, with all but one containing a cubic zirconia– sponsored by local jeweler.
