There are thousands of rescue groups and animal loving groups around the world who give every ounce of their heart to helping animals. But, many of them are so overworked and focused on the day to day operations of their nonprofit charity, they have no time to plan out fundraisers, create direct mailings, or bring in new donors. That's where HumaneFundraising comes in! This site and our Yahoo list are a free resource for all rescues to learn new ideas, create fundraising twists and raise more money for rescued animals.
This site is created and dedicated to all the animal rescues, humane society volunteers, and other animal charity lovers who give their all to help make the world a better place for animals. Whether you rescue dogs and cats, horses or rats, lizards and guinea pigs, or ferrets and potbelly pigs... Awards grants for hands-on animal care projects. Funds ONLY shelters with a mandatory spay/neuter policy before adoption. To be considered, the organization must have completed at least one year of hands-on animal care. Does not fund shelters for exotics, or species not indigenous to the U.S. Grants are made in the fall, with funds mailed in December. Application deadline is 8/10.

The Rio Vista Fund provides grants to nonprofit rescue agencies for the benefit of abused or neglected dogs and horses. Grants are made regularly in response to applications filed by organizations on behalf of specific animals. Whenever anyone purchases grooming products or feed supplements produced by Rio Vista, a portion of the sale is set aside for the Fund. Additionally, every year the Rio Vista Fund recognizes an agency or individual for outstanding rescue accomplishments.
